Kid's Carnival at The Spring

Pusat Kemahiran Rentascepat (PKRC), an Enrichment Centre in Kuching, collaborated with The Spring, the city’s newest shopping mall, to organise a Kids’ Carnival during the recent school holidays. This unique event partly reflected PKRC’s vision to provide holistic education that will last a lifetime and impact the little ones. The objective was to give young children an avenue to express themselves creatively and interact with others in a social environment. It was jam packed with a wide range of fun filled activities and gauging from the huge turn-out and squeals of delight by the kids, the carnival was a resounding success.

A marvellous selection of 5 activities for kids between 5 and 12 which appealed to both boys and girls was featured. In a carnival-like atmosphere, the kids were encouraged to participate in activities such as bookmark making, ball throwing, animal pegs, origami and body art. The kids had a lot of opportunities to engage in creative pursuits and in the process, hidden artistic talents were revealed, much to the surprise of many parents.  There were also story time and nail-biting spelling bee contests that saw anxious parents and a tense but friendly rivalry between spellers of different ages.

Children took home with them not only the art and crafts they had created but also wonderful prizes and fantastic memories of a fun-filled and exciting day at the Spring.
